You read right… Potter Fans unite. Now you will be able to enjoy a Harry Potter themed all inclusive cruise and visit the filming locations from the movies.
First announced in January, the American travel company, Barge Ladies, is making this dream a reality.
This summer the Magna Carta barge ship will set sail on the Harry Potter cruise round trip from London kicking things off with an afternoon tea experience. On your journey, every witch and wizard will get to tour the varies filming locations of the Harry Potter films such as… Virginia Water (where Harry encounters Buckbeak at the lake in “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban“), Dorney Court and Picket Post Close (the real-life 4 Privet Drive in the first Harry Potter film) and Christ Church College at Oxford University (the Great Hall at Hogwarts), as well as Warner Brothers Studios for a behind-the-scenes Harry Potter tour.
Other stops include Hampton Court Palace and Windsor Castle and all tours are included in the cruise fares.
This magical experience will set sail this August. So far 2 travel dates have been announced. The first sailing departs on August 5th, 2018 and the next sailing is August 19th, 2018. The cruise takes place on England’s Thames River, each are 7 night cruises. Each barge is crewed by six magical crew members and include a gourmet chef that will prepare plenty of Hogwarts-inspired meals. As customary, you can also enjoy tea and scones, as well champagne receptions, an open bar and hopefully the very popular butterbeer will also be available.
In addition to the tours, both cruises include all transfers, the afternoon tea experience on embarkation day, all meals on board the ship, all wines with lunch and dinner, a hot tub and use of the on board bicycles in port. Fares for a standard cabin are based on double occupancy and start at $4,190 per person. There is also an option to charter the entire ship available for up to 8 passengers.
