**UPDATE as of 2:30 PM 10/5/16 – As per the Orlando Sentinel, Disney is also relocating guests from the Polynesian Village Resort bungalows and Saratoga Springs Resort Treehouse Villas.
As Central Florida goes under a Hurricane Warning, the Walt Disney World Resort is making sure it’s guests are safe and taken care of. While Hurricane Matthew makes it’s way up the east coast of Florida, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground has notified it’s guests to contact the Reception Outpost to arrange alternate accommodations for it’s guests.
Disney is also monitoring the weather closely and has posted an advisory on the main page of their website, https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/
“October 5th, 2016 – Walt Disney World Resort is operating under normal conditions as we continue to monitor Hurricane Matthew.
Recent forecasts indicate that there could be rain and wind in the Central Florida area as early as Thursday evening, October 6th, 2016.
Please also continue to monitor news outlets for the latest weather information.”
