Your favorite Disney villains are headed to high school! Well, sort of….let me explain. Our favorite Disney villains are now parents and their children are headed to high school in the new Disney Channel movie, Descendants.

The official synopsis from the Disney Insider blog revealed:

“Disney’s iconic characters are living out their happy endings in Auradon, a present day idyllic kingdom. All defeated villains have been exiled to a remote island known as the Isle of the Lost, where they must spend their remaining days isolated from Auradon’s modern-day luxuries. After many years pass, the teenage son of King Beast and Queen Belle is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation is to offer a chance at redemption to the teenage kids of the trouble-making villains stuck on the Isle of the Lost. The descendants of Maleficent, the Evil Queen, Jafar and Cruella de Vil are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the children of iconic Disney heroes in Auradon. The villainous parents see this as an opportunity to use their children to carry out an evil plan that will finally free them all from the Isle of the Lost. Will these evil teens follow in the footsteps of their wicked parents when they go abroad?”

Kristin Chenoweth has been cast as Maleficent and Dove Cameron as her daughter Mal, with Kenny Ortega (High School Musical) directing. This Disney Channel Original Movie will also feature the children of the Evil Queen, Jafar, Cruella de Vil, Fairy Godmother, Cinderella, Dopey, Sleeping Beauty, Mulan, and other Disney characters.

I am very actually excited to see how this comes about! As soon as more information becomes available, I will be sure to let you all know, so stay tuned!

Wife, mama of 4 and Annual Passholders to Walt Disney World, Universal Studios Orlando and SeaWorld Orlando. My family and I made the move from South Louisiana to Central Florida 3 years ago and never looked back! My children’s ages range from 19 to 5, and the theme parks in the Central Florida area has something for all age groups. We are looking forward to adding Legoland Florida Annual Passes soon!
